MidAmerica Airport to announce changes with Allegiant Airlines

MidAmerica St. Louis Airport plans to announce changes regarding services with the airport’s passenger airline.

A press conference scheduled for 10:30 a.m. is expected to reveal details about the service that Allegiant Airlines provides at the Mascoutah airport.

In June, the airport announced that Allegiant Airlines was taking a seven-week hiatus from flights between MidAmerica airport and Orlando, Fla., beginning this month –between Aug. 10 and Oct. 2.

The annual seasonal break helps Allegiant ensure 90 percent capacity on all flights, which the company has said helps it provide low-cost airfare.
