Police Beat for Sunday, August 18th, 2013

A 17-year-old Odin juvenile was being held in the Marion County Jail Sunday morning after he and several others ran from Salem Police investigating a complaint about a group of young people who had gathered at West Main and Vincent Street.  Police were told at one point one of the group was laying in the road.  By the time police arrived, the group was walking down Vincent Street.  When police approached, they ran.  The Odin youth was the only one apprehended.   He was arrested on an outstanding warrant, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.  

A 27-year-old Centralia man was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies for alleged domestic battery.  Adam Yarbrough of North College remained in the county jail Sunday morning.

24-year-old Nathaniel Maines of Saddler Street in Centralia posted $150 bond and was released after being arrested by State Police for driving on a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia.  

26-year-old James Midgett of East Oglesby in Salem posted $36 bond on an outstanding Marion County family warrant and was released.
