Sandoval Man Charged With Aggravated Battery to Tavern Operators

June 4, 2016

A 26-year-old Sandoval man has been formally charged in Marion County Court with two counts of aggravated battery after allegedly attacking the owners of the 51-50 Bar in Sandoval last month.  Adam Jourdan of Old U.S. 51 has been hospitalized since shortly after the incident when he crashed his motorcycle.

Sandoval Police say Jourdon allegedly shoved Clint Flowers with his hands and later punched him after getting on top of the bar. He’s also accused of knocking Sheena Flowers to the floor.  Another employee tried to intervene and was also reportedly struck.

After the incident, Jourdon left on his motorcycle and crashed at a high rate of speed when he crested a hill on Norton Road south of Cemetery Road and hit a car in front of him driven by 21-year-old Paul Bosler of Sandoval.

Jourdan was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment.  Once he was released from the hospital, Jourdan turned himself in at the Marion County Jail Thursday.

During the Friday morning court hearing, bond was set at $25,000 and Jourdon indicated he would hire his own attorney.  If released on bond he was ordered to have no contact with the victims or any bars.
