Salem Police Identify Suspect in Counterfeit $20 Bill Case

A 17 year old male juvenile from rural Jefferson County has been identified as the suspect in the case of the counterfeit $20 bills being circulated in Salem on Tuesday.  

An investigator from the Salem Police Department interviewed the suspect, but no arrest has been made.  Salem Police Chief Shawn Reynolds says they are still trying to determine if more than one person was involved.

The investigation is ongoing and charges pending.
