A 23-year-old Centralia man has been released on $10,000 personal recognizance bond after being charged in Marion County Court Wednesday with felony theft-possession of stolen property..in connection with a residential burglary that occurred earlier this week.

Derek Woods, who told Centralia Police he was homeless, is accused of having possession of items stolen from Lyle Huffstutler of the 300 block of East Broadway.  Centralia Police say the stolen music and electronic items were taken from Huffstutler’s apartment during a July 11th burglary.

Police report Huffstutler came home to find the door to his apartment kicked in and a number of items stolen.  The items were tracked back to Woods after they were allegedly sold to a thrift store.  Woods was arrested on Tuesday.

The Public Defender was appointed to represent him.
