Police Beat for Sunday, July 31st, 2016

A 24-year-old Salem man has been arrested by Salem Police for aggravated battery to a police officer and resisting arrest.  Police say the incident occurred when Caleb Bushue of North Trenary Street had been asked to leave the residence following a domestic dispute.   Police say instead Bushue said he wanted to talk to the female involved and pushed the officer away.  He was then taken into custody without further incident.

53-year-old Timothy Allison of North Marion in Salem was arrested by Salem Police for misdemeanor theft after he allegedly drove a lawn mower to Salem IGA and left on another person’s bicycle.  Police say he left the lawn mower behind.

A 25-year-old Salem man was arrested for retail theft and felony driving on a suspended license.  Salem Police say they made an investigative stop on the car driven by Andrew Sloat of South Washington Street when investigating a retail theft he was allegedly involved at the Salem Wal-mart Store.  He was taken to the Marion County Jail on both the retail theft charge and for driving on a suspended license.

Two others remain in jail on outstanding warrants.  25-year-old Kelly Taylor-Schulte of James Street in Centralia was arrested on an outstanding Marion County traffic warrant.  45-year-old Curtis Mack of Arlene Drive in Centralia was arrested by Odin Police on an outstanding Las Vegas, Nevada warrant. 

41-year-old Edward Kinney of South Mulberry in Sandoval posted $150 bond and was released for driving on a suspended or revoked license.
