NTPA Tractor Pull Comes to Marion County Fair Saturday Night

August 8, 2016

There was no lack of noise and smoke as tractors made their way up the track trying to get the longest pulls at the Saturday night NTPA event at the Marion County Fairgrounds.

A large number of spectators were on hand for the NTPA tractor pull at the Marion County Fair Saturday night.

The event was delayed for more than 90 minutes after the chain on the sled that attaches to the trailer to provide the pulling weight broke on the first pull of the evening.   The sled was eventually repaired and the crowd was treated to a show by the large tractors seen weekly on RFD TV.

The top finisher in the Pro Stock was Mike Conny of Alliance, Ohio.  Ross Tractor Sales of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania took first in the Super Stock Diesel.  Bullet Motorsports of Eight Four, Pennsylvania was first in the Super Stock Open.

A total of 28 of the high powered tractors took part in the event which closed the nightly grandstand entertainment at this year’s Marion County Fair.
