Large Walmart Retail Theft Sends Centralia Woman to Prison

August 11, 2016

Two Centralia residents have pleaded guilty to felony retail theft for their attempt to steal two carts full of items at the Salem Walmart Store last month.

33-year-old Jessica Kidd of East Howard was sentenced to three years in prison.  Kidd also received a three year prison term after her probation was revoked on an earlier conviction for filing a false police report.

49-year-old Lanelle Marsh of the same address was placed on 30 months probation and 60 days in jail.

The two reportedly took a car for a test drive from a Centralia used car dealership and used it to drive to the Salem Walmart.  Salem Police had placed the value of the items the two were attempting to steal at $1,700.
