One Person Injured in Route 161 Extension Crash

August 11, 2016

A 22-year-old Centralia man was injured when his car struck a deer that jumped out in front of him on the Route 161 extension a half mile east of the Foxville Road in rural Kell.

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say the impact spun around the car driven by Trenton Dunahee of State Route 161 in Centralia.  It eventually went into the roadside ditch before coming to a stop.

Dunahee was able to get out of the car on his own.  He was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of injuries.  Dunahee was the only one in the vehicle.

Deputies say the car received extensive damage.
