Two Face New Felony Charges in Marion County Court

September 13, 2016

Two people face new felony charges following action in Marion County Court on Friday.

31-year-old Gregory Bryan of South Elm in Centralia had bond set at $15,000 after being formally charged in Marion County Court with felony retail theft at the Casey General Store in Wamac. The charge was a felony because of a prior theft conviction.

20-year-old Scott Austin of South Mine in Sandoval had bond set at $7,500 after being charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Austin had been arrested Thursday for possession of prescription drugs belonging to someone else.

Both Bryan and Austin had public defenders appointed to represent them.
