Marion County Housing Authority Drug and Gang Enforcement Effort Results in At Least Two Arrests

September 26, 2016

Two people are being held in the Marion County Jail on new charges after a drug and gang enforcement detail by Centralia Police at Marion County Housing Authority units.

25-year-old Joshua Clark who told jail officials he was homeless was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of a hypodermic syringe. Five syringes and a plastic container with a white substance that field tested as methamphetamine were allegedly found in Clark’s pocket after he was taken into custody on an outstanding Clinton County warrant. Clark was reportedly sitting in front of a housing unit on Maulding Drive when he was approached.

22-year-old Larry Bolden of Cahokia was arrested for criminal trespass to state property after he was allegedly found on housing authority property where he was earlier banned.

The patrols took place late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
