Marion County Sheriff Warns of Consequences of Stealing Political Signs

September 30, 2016

Marion County Sheriff Rich Stevenson says those caught removing political signs not on their own property can and will be arrested.

The sheriff’s comments follow a complain of some political signs disappearing from property where they were placed by the owner. He is reminding everyone it is a crime to remove any political sign and entering a property to do so.

Stevenson says if there are signs being placed on your property without your permission, you are asked to contact the law enforcement agency that you reside prior to removal.
