Two Centralia Residents Sentenced to Prison

A 27-year-old Centralia woman has been sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty in Marion County Court Friday to theft by deception. Mindy Thacker of East Broadway admitted to taking $441 in U.S. currency from the Salem Walmart store. Thacker will serve the time concurrently with a two year prison term handed down in July in Clinton County Court for forgery.

A 34-year-old Centralia man has been sentenced to one year in prison for unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Jeffrey Fleming of Rhodes Street admitted to having 15 grams of oxycodone in his possession. He served one year of mandatory supervised release after getting out of prison.
