Centralia Man Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges

A 30-year-old Centralia man was arrested Thursday on multiple charges after Centralia Police responded to a report of a man acting strangely at the Dairy Queen Restaurant.

Police initially searched the back pack Joshua Williamson of Country Club Road was carrying because he was on parole. They allegedly found what field tested as meth and heroin inside along with two syringes. A search of the bathroom turned up a used syringe and a metal spoon with an unknown substance on top and burned on the bottom. At that point, Williamson was arrested for possession of meth, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and possesion of a hypodermic needle.

Additional charges of possession of meth and bringing contraband into a penal institution were added after correctional officers at the Marion County Jail allegedly found a flashlight filled with what field tested as methamphetamine and an unidentified substance believed to be a synthetic drug.
