One Person Injured in Three Vehicle Crash in Salem

One person was injured in a three vehicle crash Friday afternoon at East Main and Shelby Street in Salem.

Salem Police say the crash occurred when an eastbound car on Main Street driven by 16-year-old Gillian McLean of East Locust in Salem made a left hand turn onto Shelby Street in front of a westbound car driven by 19-year-old Ryan Case of South Lakeview in Salem. The impact of the crash then pushed Cape into a third car waiting at the stop sign on Shelby Street driven by 28-year-old Brittney Little of Cedar Road in Kell.

McLean was taken to the Salem Township Hospital Emergency Room for treatment of reported back pain.

Salem Police report three passengers in Little’s car, 29-year-old Cara Brown and 3-year-old Odin Brown of 2nd Street in Kell and 1-year-old Gatling Little of Cedar Road in Kell escaped injury along wit one passenger in the Case vehicle, 18-year-old Breann Beckham of Chadwell Street in Flora.

The crash occurred at 2:35 Friday afternoon.
