Salem Police Beat for Monday, December 12th, 2016

A 35-year-old Salem man has been arrested by Salem Police on multiple drug charges. Police say Samuel Hixenbaugh of Cross Road was a passenger in a car during a Sunday night traffic stop on South College Street. The stop was initially made for speeding. When Police questioned Hixenbaugh about having any illegal items, he allegedly admitted to having a syringe and methamphetamine. A search by police allegedly turned up two wash clothe that contained a meth pipe, spoon, two syringes and a container of meth. Hixenbaugh was arrested for possession of meth, possession of a narcotic instrument, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver of the car, 38-year-old Bryan Mullins of South Park in Central City, was arrested for driving on a suspended license. Hixenbaugh was taken to the Marion County Jail. Mullins was released on a notice to appear in court.

21-year-old Dylan Haas of Effland, North Carolina was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies on an outstanding Clinton County misdemeanor warrant and on a Washington County misdemeanor and traffic warrants. He was later transferred to the Clinton County Jail at Carlyle.

25-year-old Thomas Holman of South Locust in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
