New Manufacturing Facility Coming to Centralia

December 16, 2016

A new manufacturing facility is coming to Centralia.

RN Conveyance has purchased the former power coat building at 641 Airport Road and is converting it into a facility to make components for handling equipment in the agriculture industry.

Owner Reggie White told the Centralia Industrial Commission on Thursday the goal is to begin operation in March with six to eight employees. He would like to expand and eventually outgrow the 18,000 square foot building.

RN Conveyance has been in operation for 22 years in Maryland. The company wanted to expand to a Southern Illinois location to better serve their customers and compete against a Decatur based company.

Their product line include various conveyor and bucket elevators with an average price of $60,000 to $100,000.

White came to Centralia last summer and like the location of city. He then walked into a real estate office which helped him obtain the Airport Road building.

City Manager Dan Ramey thanked White for choosing Centralia.
