Police Beat for Friday, January 13th, 2016

A 22-year-old Salem man has been arrested by Sandoval Police for alleged felony theft. Jacob Heser of Nation Road is accused of taking a debit card belonging to Joshua Russell of Salem while both were at the 50/51 Saloon. Sandoval Police say Heser was later identified using the card to obtain money by video recording of the transaction. He was taken to the Marion County Jail.

31-year-old Devin Jordan of Richland Heights of Central City was arrested by Centralia Police for alleged aggravated domestic battery and felony criminal damage to property. Police say Jordan is accused of slapping his brother in the face and shoving him against a wall.

27-year-old Mallory Ritchey of South 14th in Mt. Vernon remained in custody after being arrested on an outstanding Marion County felony warrant.

Wamac Police arrested 21-year-old Chance Hoskey of Selmaville Road in Salem for alleged driving under the influence of alcohol. Hoskey posted $100 bond and was released.

Salem Police are investigating a burglary at a garage at the Doval McLean home on North Ohio Street. A muzzle loader, compound bow and power tools were reportedly stolen before nine Thursday morning.
