A 22-year-old Centralia was injured in a single vehicle crash on Tuesday in rural Waltonville.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department reports indicate David Wilson lost control and struck a guardrail in the 6600 block of North Hall Lane and rolled over on its side into a creek. He was trapped in the vehicle, but was able to keep his head above water until emergency help arrived.

Wilson was taken to SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon for treatment of injuries. He was ticketed for driving under the influence and no insurance.
