Two Injured in Flora Crash Early Wednesday Night

January 19, 2017

State Police say two persons were injured in a two vehicle crash on U.S. 50 at Worthey Street in Flora early Wednesday night.

Preliminary investigative details indicate a 16-year-old male juvenile turned from northbound U.S. 50 onto Worthey Street in front of a westbound semi driven by 49-year-old Darrel Frank Bell of Everton, Arkansas. The impact spun the juvenile’s car around and both vehicles came to a stop facing westbound.

Both the 16-year-old juvenile drive and his 13-year-old female juvenile passenger, both from Flora, were taken to Clay County Hospital for treatment. Bell escaped injury.

The crash occurred at 5:31 Wednesday evening.
