Centralia Man Arrested on Multiple Charges Following Family Altercation

A 25-year-old Centralia man was arrested on multiple charges after Centralia Police responded to a report of an active domestic dispute between a brother and sister Friday night.

Bryce McCray of South Locust was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail for domestic battery, obstructing justice and aggravated battery to a police officer.

Police say when they first arrived, another person in the home told them the altercation was over and they were not needed. However, police could still hear yelling from the home.

After going inside, McCray allegedly grabbed an officer’s arm twice after being asked to back off and refused to go outside for questioning. Police say he eventually had to taken to the ground to be handcuffed.

McCray’s younger sister reportedly had blood on her chin after being struck earlier.
