One Person Injured in Two Vehicle Crash on Cross Road Southwest of Salem

One person was injured in a two vehicle crash on Cross Road near the Hotze Road intersection southwest of Salem.

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Kelby Firnhaber of Markland Street in Salem was traveling eastbound on Cross Road when he lost control and made an abrupt left turn into a westbound vehicle driven by 34-year-old Ross Houser of Fielder Drive in Salem. Houser’s jeep cross the ditch and overturned one time, throwing the driver out.

Houser was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment.

Firnhaber and a passenger in his SUV, 17-year-old Brody Hall of East Boone in Salem, both escaped injury.

The crash occurred at 10:23 Saturday morning.
