Argument in Motel Room Leads to Seizure of 65 Pounds of Marijuana

February 3, 2017

Two California residents are in custody following a disturbance at the Economy Inn on North Sixth Street in Vandalia that led to the discovery of 65 pounds of marijuana.

Vandalia Police say 18-year-old Joana Rebollar-Limon and 20-year-old Christina Phaviseth of California had stopped in Vandalia on a trip from California to Ohio.

After the cannabis was found, the two were arrested for delivery of cannabis and cannabis trafficking.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department assisted with the bust.
