A 24-year-old Centralia man has been arrested by Centralia Police on an outstanding Marion County misdemeanor warrant and for possession of a controlled substance. Police say they initially arrested Cody Rigney of South Poplar on the warrant in the 700 block of North Sycamore. When they asked for his keys, Rigney told them they were locked in his car. Police reported they could see an open bag with a needle sticking out. Once an inventory of the car was completed, they allegedly recovered a bag with a substance that field tested as positive for methamphetamine.

A 26-year-old Centralia man was arrested by Centralia Police on a domestic battery charge. Odell Wright of East Third and Jessica Walton of Junction City were reportedly involved in an active domestic dispute when Centralia Police arrived at Wright’s home. The argument apparently stemmed over Wright looking at text messages on her phone. He is accused of grabbing Walton’s hair and arm, slapping and headbutting her, as she attempted to get her phone back from Wright.
