Trucker Sentenced to Six Years in Prison on Weapons Charge

A 32-year-old truck driver from Romeoville, Illinois has been sentenced to six years in prison in Marion County Court for being a convicted felony in possession of a firearm.

Dear Antawon was arrested by Centralia Police last year during a traffic stop. He had also been charged with armed habitual criminal because of his past record, but that Class X felony was dropped as part of the plea agreement.

Antawon will have to complete one year of mandatory supervised release when getting out of prison as well as pay court costs.
