One Person Injured In Early Saturday Morning Clay County Crash

A 26-year-old Clay City man was injured in an early Saturday morning crash in Clay County.

Preliminary investigation by State Police indicates Eber Misael Perez-Escalante was traveling south on the Dieterich blacktop two miles north of the Louisville Road when he ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected, slid off the left side of the pavement and overturned multiple times. Perez-Escalante was ejected from his vehicle.

Perez-Escalante was initially taken to the Clay County Hospital by ambulance and then transported by helicopter to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

Tickets are pending.

The crash occurred at 3:28 Saturday morning.
