Police Beat for Saturday, March 18th, 2017

A 21-year-old Nashville, Illinois man is being held in the Marion County Jail on multiple charges after allegedly entering a Centralia woman’s home on South Marion Street without permission. Cornell Hannah of Kaskaskia Street was arrested by Centralia Police and taken to the Marion County Jail for criminal damage and criminal trespass to Marion County Housing Authority property, aggravated battery to a police officer and resisting arrest.

29-year-old Michael Whitaker of Shumway was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies for failure to appear in court on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Bond is set at $7,500.

27-year-old Nicole Ryan of East Broadway in Centralia was arrested by Iuka Police for no valid driver’s license.

23-year-old Konner Hess of East Bennett in Salem posted $100 bond and was released after being arrested by Salem Police during a traffic stop for driving under the influence.

35-year-old Chad Stanford of Old U.S. 51 in Sandoval posted $200 bond after being arrested by State Police for reckless driving and speeding over 35 miles per hour over the speed limit.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a residential burglary. Barb Daniels and her husband of Colestock Lane reported returning home Friday night and finding diamond rings and cell phones missing.
