No Injuries or Hazardous Materials Issues After Pickup Truck Carrying Anhydrous Ammonia Tanks Crashes

March 22, 2017

A 27-year-old Noble man escaped injury when the pickup he was using to pull two anhydrous ammonia tanks ran off the County Farm Road a mile south of U.S. 50 on Monday afternoon.

The tanks on the truck driven by Travis Charles ended up overturned in the roadside ditch. Salem Fire Protection District Firemen were called out as a precaution, but fire officials say the tanks were empty and there was no hazardous material concern.

State Police are handling the wreck and reports are not available on how the crash occurred.

The wreck occurred at three Monday afternoon.
