Three Arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine Following Traffic Stop

March 23, 2017

Three occupants of a car stopped for improper lane usage early Wednesday morning have been charged in Marion County Court with possession of methamphetamine.

Salem Police say the driver, 21-year-old Brandon Behnke of South Main in Clay City, was arrested along with passengers, 18-year-old Zoie Bryant of Big Four Road in Clay City and 28-year-old Christopher Gajewski of Meadowlane in Centralia.

Police report the drug items were in plain view following the traffic stop at 1:58 Wednesday morning on Cross Road just west of College Street. Police say in addition to the meth, Gajewski and Bryant allegedly were in possession of a narcotic instrument.

All three had public defenders appointed to represent them and preliminary hearings set for April 13th.
