Police Beat for Saturday, April 1st, 2017

A 27-year-old Kell woman has been arrested for aggravated battery. Wamac Police say they observed Shanna Lux of Foxville Road hit Andre Little of Centralia in the face while at the Industrial Tavern. Police had been called to the tavern on another call when they witnessed the alleged battery.

33-year-old Jenna Kwiatkowski was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies early Friday morning for alleged driving under the influence of alcohol and resisting arrest. Kwiatkowski was taken into custody after her car ran into a ditch on South Perrine Street Road near the Rotary Ballfields. She was transported to the Marion County Jail where she was later released after posting $100 bond.

29-year-old Andrew Szatkowski of East Green in Centralia posted bond after being arrested by Central City Police for driving under the influence.

28-year-old Jordan White of South Washington in Salem was arrested Thursday by Salem Police for criminal trespass to land. He reportedly returned to a home where he had earlier been ordered to stay away.

A 26-year-old Centralia man is being held in lieu of $50,00 bond on an outstanding Marion County felony warrant in a case involving possession of under five grams of methamphetamine. Lonnie Williams of North Poplar remained in the Marion County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.

Two other Centralia residents were arrested on outstanding felony warrants. They are 36-year-old Justin Heern and 35-year-old Heather Heern of South Maple in Centralia. Both were taken to the Marion County Jail.

35-year-old Melanie Wegner of Ridge Road in Carlyle remained in custody Saturday on a failure to appear warrant in a misdemeanor case. She was arrested by Central City Police.

19-year-old Teri Branton of Richview Road in Mt. Vernon was transported back to the Marion County Jail on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
