Two Face Drug Charges Following Friday Arrests

34-year-old Matthew Peters of Delores Street in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police for possession of a controlled substance. He allegedly came to the Centralia Police station on Friday to speak to an officer. Peters was originally taken into custody as a person of interest in a retail theft case. While securing Peters, police allegedly found two pieces of folded paper wrapped inside a tissue. They reportedly contained a total of 4.5 grams of methamphetamine.

19-year-old Austin Crenshaw of Seven Hills Road in Odin has been arrested for manufacture or delivery of 2.5 to 10 grams of cannabis. Salem Police stopped Crenshaw’s car late Friday night at Schwartz and Pearl. The cannabis was allegedly found in the vehicle. Crenshaw posted $150 bond and was released from the Marion County Jail.
