Police Beat for Sunday, April 9th, 2017

A 19-year-old Mt. Vernon resident has been arrested by Centralia Police for both misdemeanor and felony theft. Alvaro Martinez of Richview Road remained in the Marion County Jail on Sunday.

41-year-old Benjamin Beard of Hamilton Street in Salem was arrested by Salem Police for driving under the influence of alcohol. He posted $100 bond and was released.

23-year-old Aaron Williams of South Avenue in Iuka was arrested by Salem Police on an outstanding Marion County felony warrant for possession of under 15 grams of meth precursors. Williams’ bond is set at $25,000.

27-year-old Steven Jackson of North Park in Centralia turned himself in on a Marion County traffic warrant. Bond on the warrant for failure to appear on a no insurance ticketed is set at $5,000.

25-year-old Jade Hughes of Chicago was arrested by State Police for no valid drivers license. He posted $150 bond and was released.
