Centralia Man Sentenced to Prison on Heroin Charge

A 38-year-old Centralia man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for unlawful possession of less than 15 grams of heroin.

Richard Hammond of Gragg Street had the sentence handed down after pleading guilty in Marion County Court on Thursday.

Hammond was also ordered to pay court costs and was given credit for 48 days already served in the Marion County Jail.
