Police Beat for Saturday, April 15th, 2017

A 24-year-old Walnut Hill man is being held in the Marion County Jail on multiple charges from a prior incident and on new drug charges. Jeremy White of North Post Oak was initially stopped by police while riding a bike in connection with an alleged domestic battery and misdemeanor theft that occurred on March 20th. New counts of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia were added after White was allegedly found with a small amount of meth and a drug pipe in his clothing. In the original case, White is accused of striking Lyndsey Meskil and knocking her to the ground at her home on South Walnut. After White left, Meskil noticed her backpack that contained her wallet, tablet computer, and other items was stolen.

A 21-year-old Centralia woman has been arrested for failure to appear on an aggravated battery charge. Nikkita Campbell of Jackson Street is being held in lieu of $5,000 bond.

A 25-year-old Iuka man, Michael Parker of Wagner Road, posted $500 bond after being arrested by sheriff’s deputies for alleged domestic battery.
