Police Beat for Monday, April 17th, 2017

A 24-year-old homeless Salem man is being held in the Marion County Jail on an outstanding Illinois Department of Corrections warrant. Salem Police say they spotted Jeremy Lippert walking along East Bennett Street on Sunday. Police report after Lippert spotted them, he allegedly attempted to hide behind a garage where he was taken into custody.

A 22-year-old Odin man, Jakarie Poore of West Chestnut, posted $325 bond and was released from the Marion County Jail on Sunday on a Marion County failure to appear in court warrant.
