Salem Woman Found Passed Out in Car in Centralia Revived and Taken to Jail on Drug Charges

April 29, 2017

A 38-year-old Salem woman has been arrested on drug charges after she had apparently pulled off Pleasant Street near East McCord when being affected by a drug overdose.

Centralia Police say they were able to wake Brandi Morgan of Cope Drive who admitted to injecting heroin a short time before she began to feel bad and pulled over off the road. Police say they found three syringes and a plastic baggie with alleged heroin residue.

Morgan was formally charged in Marion County Court Friday with possession of a controlled substance, less than 15 grams of heroin. Her bond on the charge was set at $75,000.

That’s the same amount that was set on a pending charge of possession of under five grams of methamphetamine Morgan still has pending following an arrest in April of last year. Court records indicate a warrant for Morgan’s arrest was issued in that case after she allegedly failed to show up for a drug test at the Probation Office.
