May 8, 2017

Three people remained in custody at the Marion County Jail Saturday after being arrested on felony drug charges.

36-year-old Matthew Hall, who told jail officials he was homeless, was arrested by Central City Police for felony retail theft, possession of methamphetamine and intimidation. Police say Hall was initially stopped for allegedly stealing a flash drive from the Central City Dollar General Store. The charge was a felony due to a prior theft conviction. Police say they found some methamphetamine in Hall’s pocket. The intimidation charge was added after he allegedly threatened to kill the officer who made the arrest.

23-year-old Melanie Scerba of Walnut Street in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police for possession of meth and possession of a hypodermic syringe. Police say Scerba was initially arrested for driving without a license. They later allegedly found a baggie of suspected meth along with a hypodermic needle in one of her pockets.

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 30-year-old Tiffany Organ of North Howard in Salem for possession of a controlled substance.
