DuBois Man Charged With Residential Burglary to Centralia Home

May 11, 2017

A 25-year-old DuBois man has been charged with residential burglary to a home in Centralia.

Alan Middleton of Hickory Creek Road appeared in Marion County Court for the first time Wednesday on the charge that accuses him of breaking into the Chad Hedrick home on the 100 block of North Cherry Street in Centralia with intent to commit a theft. Bond was set at $50,000. Middleton was given time to hire his own attorney.

Middleton was arrested by Sandoval Police at the request of Centralia Police after he had been developed as a suspect in the case by video surveillance in the home. Middleton and a second person are accused of removing a window air conditioner from a window of the home to gain access. Once inside, a gun and money from a safe were taken. The break-in occurred on Monday.

Centralia Police say they are still seeking the second person in the case.
