Salem Woman Accused of Cutting Carlyle Man on Neck in Domestic Dispute

May 11, 2017

An 18-year-old Salem woman has been charged with domestic battery in connection with a Tuesday night incident where she cut a man in the neck with a kitchen knife.

Salem Police say Jessica Green-Strayhorn of West Schwartz Street allegedly cut 18-year-old Jesse Lilly while both were at her home. Lilly reportedly went to a home on East Main Street in Salem after the incident but was forcibly taken back to her home. At that point, one of those at the East Main Street home called the police and asked for a well-being check on Lilly.

Lilly reportedly received an abrasion from the knife but did not require any hospital treatment.

Bond for Green-Strayhorn was set at $10,000. She had the public defender appointed to represent her.
