Two Charged With Drug Offenses Following Tuesday Night Traffic Stop in Centralia

May 11, 2017

Two occupants of a car initially stopped by Centralia Police for speeding were formally charged in Marion County Court Wednesday with possession of under five grams of methamphetamine.

Bond was set at $25,000 for 23-year-old Robert Roe of Bond Street in Centralia. A $10,000 bond was set for 25-year-old Amber Johnston of the same address. Both had the public defender appointed to represent them.

Centralia Police say they initially stopped the car driven by Roe on Tuesday night for speeding on East McCord Street. A later search of the car turned up torn baggie of a white substance on the front floor board that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Police say eight hypodermic syringes and three spoons were located in Johnston’s purse and two more syringes and two more spoons were found in the glove box.

If the two are released on bond, they were ordered to have no drugs or alcohol and undergo random testing.
