Sandoval Firemen Say Vacant Modular Home Destroyed in Sunday Morning Fire

May 23, 2017

A vacant modular home at 28,203 Felton Road southwest of Sandoval was destroyed by fire early Sunday morning.

Sandoval Fire Chief Chad Parson says the home was completely engulfed in fire when they arrived on the scene at 4:26 Sunday morning. The roof had already collapsed and most of the walls also had completely burned.

Sandoval Firemen were able to protect two nearby outbuildings.

The Clinton County GIS system shows the owners of the property as Bruce and Thallia Tettemer, but so far firemen have not been able to confirm the ownership.

Since the home had no utilities and was vacant, the State Fire Marshal was contacted to investigate the cause of the fire.

There were no injuries and no mutual aid required. Firemen were on the scene for about three hours.
