Police Beat for Wednesday, June 7th, 2017

Salem Police arrested two people on possession of cannabis charges following a traffic stop late Tuesday night. The passenger, 18-year-old Trevor Lewis of West Warmouth in Salem, was taken to the Marion County Jail for possession of 30 to 500 grams of cannabis. A baggie containing over 63 grams of cannabis was allegedly found on the passenger side floorboard. The 17-year-old male driver was given a city ordinance violation ticket for possesion of cannabis and was released.

Two people remained in the Marion County Jail after being arrested for probation violations. 30-year-old Leroy Evilsizer of South Cherry in Centralia and 24-year-old Jordan McMullin of North Everett in Odin were both taken into custody at the probation office.

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 57-year-old Ronald Potter of Quail Run in Salem for criminal trespass to land. He was arrested after deputies received a complaint from a nearby property owner about an on-going issue of Potter allegedly being on their property. Potter was released after posting $150 bond.

24-year-old Jeffrey Hammel of East Third in Flora turned himself in on a Marion County felony warrant. He posted $250 bond and was released.
