Centralia Residents To Do Over $150,000 In Building Projects In June

The City of Centralia issued 26 building and sign permits for the month of June that totaled estimated construction of $151,413 worth of improvements. The bulk of which included a $50,000 project for a single drive-through at the Regions Bank on North Elm Street; a $20,000 garage on Crestwood Lane and a pair of $14,000 projects for a Canopy at the First Baptist Church on East 2nd Street and to replace an island at the Hucks on East Calumet.

In total the city of Centralia collected $842 in fees for the projects.

The City also issued 4 demolition permits to tear down garages on Murray Drive and Johnson Street as well as work at 716 Cormick and North Elm.
