Police Beat for Saturday, July 15th, 2017

A 33-year-old Sandoval man is being held in the Marion County Jail after being arrested by Centralia Police for felony theft. Jessie Wiese of South Mulberry is accused of possession of items stolen from a construction trailer owned by Howell Paving while it was parked at the former Priced Right Foods Building on West Broadway in Centralia. The arrest came after officials of Howell Paving confirmed some of the items had been taken to a salvage yard and information from the transaction was used to track down Wiese.

Four others were arrested on outstanding warrants. 27-year-old Krystal Scorba of South Cherry in Centralia is being held on a failure to appear in court warrant in a 2009 felony case. 27-year-old Michael Ferguson of North Vine in Sandoval remained in jail Saturday after being arrested by Sandoval Police on a Marion County ordinance violation warrant. 58-year-old James Hanus of East Baseline Road in Texico posted $500 bond after being arrested by Iuka Police for failure to appear on an outstanding traffic warrant. 33-year-old Dustin Lowery of Edgewood Road in Centralia posted $100 bond and was released after being arrested by Salem Police on an outstanding Effingham County warrant.
