Police Beat for Monday, July 17th, 2017

Salem Police arrested two people for felony retail theft at the Salem Walmart store late Sunday afternoon. 38-year-old Lucy Hankins of Salem and 42-year-old Robert Rhodes of Assumption were arrested when allegedly leaving Walmart with a cart load of items. Both were taken to the Marion County Jail pending the filing of formal charges.

24-year-old Blossom Plumb of South Washington in Salem remains in the Marion County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond after being arrested on a failure to appear warrant in a retail theft case.

22-year-old Evan Littrell of Sullivan Road in Kinmundy posted $150 bond after being arrested by sheriff’s deputies for speeding 36 miles over the speed limit. Deputies say Littrell was reportedly driving 101 miles an hour in a 55 mile an hour zone on Route 37 near Baylis Road.
