Police Beat for Tuesday, July 18th, 2017

A 21-year-old Salem man was been arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies for alleged possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Christopher Senn of County Farm Road was taken into custody after returning home. Deputies had been called to check on Senn’s well-being and the canine was used to search the area of his home earlier in the evening.

26-year-old Jon Finch of Ridge Road in Carlyle remained in custody in lieu of $5,000 after being arrested by Clinton County Sheriff’s Deputies for failure to appear in court on a failure to appear in court warrant.

34-year-old Eric Powell of West 16th in Centralia posted $2,500 bond and was released after being arrested by sheriff’s deputies on a felony failure to appear in court warrant.

A 63-year-old Kell woman, Joyce Sherwin, was arrested for battery. She is accused of slapping Ronald Johnston in the face at his home. Sherwin posted $150 bond and was released.
