Police Beat for Sunday, April 7th

A Salem man remains in the Marion County Jail following an arrest for alleged domestic battery.  20-year-old Jordan Lee Shepard of North Trenary was arrested by Salem Police.

Two Champaign residents have been released from the Marion County Jail following arrests for alleged cannabis possesion.  Sheriff's deputies arrested 24-year-old Brooke Lynn Russell for possession of between 2.5 and 10 grams and 25-year-old Corian Rasheed Salahaddin for possession of less than 2.5 grams.  Each posted $150 bond.

36-year-old Mark Aaron Meger of 92nd Street in Howard City, Michigan was arrested by Illinois State Police and charged with alleged driving under the influence.  He remained at the jail Sunday morning.
